A Ghost edition by Ben Stevens Literature Fiction eBooks

If you'd like to read a good short story (ab 30 mins), A GHOST by Ben Stevens is wonderful.
Ethel Burrows in England is now seventy-five years old. Many years have passed since she fell deeply in love with an American airman named Jack during WWII, but her heart still yearns for him even after receiving that letter back from his family that he was killed in action. So much so, that she never married or even considered doing so. Shocked was not even a sufficient adjective for her feelings when she saw what appeared to be him on her commuter train fifty years later. Then again, his brother looked just like him. She would bolster her nerve, and ask for confirmation.
A GHOST is well written and will make your eyebrows raise and a you-go-girl-smile appear on your face upon completion. It's a sweet, meaningful, easy read.

Not what you would expect from the title but I fail to see the reality in this little story as the man stole the life of the woman who believed he died young and she mourned her life away until old age. she was not angry at her loss of time and love which is not real. She learned his shallow character far too late as most would have married even after the loss of the man she believed him to be and perhaps after a life and loss of the second love found the fool knowing she made a choice to live.
Well wrote and easy to read. I would recommend this book to friends and family. Best story ever. I loved it.
I enjoyed the story; be advised this is a rather short "short story."
This short story was well-written and interesting. This is the first work I've read from beginning to end in an electronic format. The character development, details and ending were all satisfying. I was drawn in because the writing was good and stayed to find out what happened. I would recommend this story.
Ethel Burrows fell in love with an American pilot stationed in England during WW II. Her entire life was spent grieving for his loss and remembering the love they shared.

This is a story of life, love, sadness and triumph. Sometimes love is closer than we are capable of knowing. The ending of this short story is super!

Most highly recommended.
